Rovnosť ľudu publishes nonfiction essays written by academics and working people alike. Our contributors include university researchers, independent scholars, organizers, and workers from all walks of life. Understanding how societies are made, undone, and remade is not the exclusive property of the credentialed. Therefore, we publish them within the same pages.
The name — Rovnosť ľudu, “Equality of the People” — is borrowed from a socialist Slovak-language newspaper published in the United States beginning in 1906. The paper ran for over four decades, weekly and later daily, with a fervent commitment to radical politics throughout.
